The Technical Secretariat of the Debate Stop bad relationships is an awareness and prevention campaign to fight violence against women. Its target population is adolescents and youth. It is sponsored Catalan Women Institution (Institut Català de les Dones), the Youth Secretariat (Secretariat de Joventut) and the Department of Education.

The phenomenon of violence against women is a result of a previous reality, a social structure that gives it room and is the result of many factors that make possible the existence, the reproduction and perpetuation of a system based  on the secular tradition of domination of women by men establishing consensual power mechanisms (económical, social, cultural and military) through an ideology
 that legitimizes and mystifies oppression (not only related to
women, but to other beings not responding to models of masculinity which are socially hihjer valued).

The seriousness and wide dimension of this social conflict has mobilized women's  associations and institutions. The Catalan Government in the context of different policy plans in the gender area (2005-2007 and 2008-2011) and the Act for a comprehensive approach to violence against women, has launched various  activities and projects with the goal of deploying strategies for prevention, awareness and providing tools and resources to implement programs aimed to prevent abusive relationships among adolescents and youth.

The program "Stop bad relationships" tries to provide training resources and tools to young people to make them active agents capable of boosting strategies for preventing violence, promoting mutual respect between sexes and resolving conflicts in a non-violent way.
