Preparation of the International Congress with the aim of gathering worldwide experts on immigration and its many facets, as well as people working on it directly or indirectly.

Immigration, despite being an existing reality throughout the entire history of mankind, in recent times, and in the context of globalization, has become a major phenomenon in Western countries and is present in the center of public debate. This reality was recently almost exclusively present in the main European Union countries, but today is a fact in Spain and in the Balearic Islands. It is for this reason that, since the platform Balears 2015, "SA NOSTRA" Caixa de Balears believes necessary to undertake actions to assess the challenges posed by the immigratory phenomenon from the analysis of this new reality by studying its causes and possible consequences, the measures to be taken to avoid potential divisions in society, the model of society that
it is derived and the definition of rights and duties of immigrants.
