Mediation is a method of managing and resolving conflicts that involves a third impartial and neutral party, previously requested and accepted by the parties in conflict, either by them or by a judicial / administrative authority, which aims to help and facilitate the parties to obtain a satisfactory result.

Municipal Mediation Services perform tasks of counseling, training and
professional services of mediation, it means prevention, management and peaceful resolution of conflicts from a global approach, all over the area of the municipality.

Its purpose is to encourage the improvement of civic life in town encouraging the active and co-responsible involvement of the citizens, from an intermediary position. Working for the coexistence means working in favor of dialogue, inclusion, social cohesion and the search of alternatives for resolving and transforming everyday conflicts.

Municipal mediation services drive mediator actions in the territory, providing support and methodological strategies to the municipal professionals and intervening directly with the population living in conflictive situations on a community framework in order to be able to prevent negative expression and / or manage those expressions who already have a critical character to promote coexistence among citizens in the municipalities.
