The Catalan Women's Institute and the Department for Immigration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Family Policy and Citizenship Rights, proposed holding this conference in order to facilitate a meeting between researchers, professionals, social agents -especially immigrant associations themselves-, and people with political and technical responsibility in the subject to reflect and debate on specific and diverse reality of immigrants.
